““But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderer’s soap; and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer to Yahweh offerings in righteousness.” (Malachi 3:2-3 WEB)
Jesus has an aspect of “refiner and purifier of silver”.
When you are in the fire, trust the Refiner to take you out at the right time. He knows when you will be fully purified.
A purifier has to keep his focus on the metal. Take it out one moment too soon and it’s still impure. Take it out too late, and it will be destroyed.
Just like Jesus kept His eyes on Peter the entire time he was walking on water, His eyes are fixed on you too.
The dross of unbelief has to be separated from your heart.
When you emerge from the trial at the appointed time, you shall be like pure gold, perfectly malleable for the Master’s use!
